For 1-3, I've intentionally used a slightly longer exposure, zoom and click to show movement and with the hope of adding some drama instead of a static shot. Inevitably, it also diminish the vicious act.

This looks similar to the American Indian Sun Dance. The Oglala Lakota Sioux were some who practiced something like this.

I certainly believed its same kind of festival, no doubt about it. Mine was taken in Singapore.

Some terrific images here. However, next time you post a story-like series of his sort I'd strongly suggest one or more general shots that set the scene, that provide better context for the individual shots.
