    I don't think shooting manual is necessary to be a good photographer. Familiarity with it make certain shots easier, but if you're not interested in a narrow depth of focus or controlling motion, then you can easily get by without ever shooting in manual.

    I use several cameras, but some of my favorite (and I think best) work was done on Polaroid. I hope this does not disqualify me from being a photographer :(

    Ive run into it all the time and sometimes itll frustrate me but in the end id rather know what im doing and have "cheap" equipment than really nice stuff and not have a clue ne_nau.gif
