I printed enough of 4 asnd 5 in wallet sizes and #2 in 4x6 to send one of each with her graduation invitations. #2 was my favorite of the set.
#4 was a very tough shot. My thoughts at the time were to let the entire BG blow out and pump in just enough flash to bring out her facial features.....but that didnt look as good in reality as I had envisioned......so....more flash power....and more....until this. I am not super happy about the resulting flatness in the lighting, but I loiked the iron work and pose. The blown highlights in this instance dont really bother me.
I will try the same location out on another day....with more favorable lighting. This is a morning or overcast day location for sure.
I will often take this approach as well, if something didn't turn as I envisioned then I try again on same location different time of day.

Ah...I see. I shoot with a 85mm 1.4 (full frame camera). At 1.4, it is the cream of the crop but spectacularly dangerous when mis-focused.
