May I ask how this is done? (I am quite a beginner technically...)
Thanks
Claire
You will find how I did it by going to my "how to" blog that is listed in my signature. I think you need to scroll about half way down the page. It explains how I did it (although I haven't looked at it in years!). Let me know if you have questions. I would be more than happy to explain anything you might not get.

Thanks. I will
Nature can be so different around the world but it is always amazing!
Thank you, JAG. I bought this when I saw it at a sidewalk sale at an art store some time ago because this immediately came to mind.

Good to see we have some Xperts here! ... only kidding, but thanks for motivating me to pick up a dictionary and I've changed my entry to xylogenous.
I think I've got it right - devilishly tricky these X words!
I've been waiting for the A to come around for a few rounds now and keep missing it by a minute or too! I have been wanting to put up abstract for it and someone beat me to it last time. Now this time, WhatSheSaw got it in as I was heading to get my abstract. So I changed the title to B for branch abstract because it was a branch of the tree!

No worries! That's what makes this fun! Getting an idea of a picture one might have then scrambling to find it and post if before the letter gets taken by someone else! lol! Yes, this separate thread is useful for the banter that we so desperately need! I miss those days!
Apparently I suck at attaching the link to the image.

Actually, I found a different way of doing it to get the image to show. Just go to the post you want to comment on and hit the reply with quote button. Copy all of the text that comes in the reply box. Then go to the bread crumbs and click on the forums link to exit out of the reply, without sending the reply. Then you can post on this thread by pasting the text you had of the image. Hope this is understandable!
I have to confess to you that I didn't take this Z photo - it was taken by my dad in 1950
It's wonderful - such a beautiful light! I just wanted to say tat I've been there with only a videocamera
but it was so cold and rainy, I couldn't see the pick either...

On that trip (when I was 12) Dad had a Poloroid, a 16 mm movie camera (I don't remember if it was a Keystone or if he had the Bolex by then) and a 35 mm camera - at some point he had a Leica but I don't know if he bought it on this trip or whether he just had a Kodak. I've gotten his pictures digitized and posted them here. The black and white ones are the Poloroids that he had printed in black and white as all of the Poloroids back then were sepia. There are some of the original Poloroids too.

Thank you for your honesty. Please refrain from posting images that you did not take, as it is breaking one of the few rules that this game has! It is a nice image though. Z is hard to find sometimes and I do appreciate everyones participation!
I like to post in the thread about old photos, as I have a lot of them, but it doesn't seem to be very active. I had a camera on that trip (probably a Brownie) but I have only been able to find one photo that I took then.

This is awesome! Is it swimmable? I swam at Champagne Beach in Dominica. The water was slightly warmer and the bubbles were so awesomely relaxing, that you could fall asleep!

This one
was obviously taken by my mom as my dad is on the left (I'm on the right)
Thank you Tatiana!

One of these days I'll have to figure out what my "style" is..
Thank you. My dad was a good photographer, and the slides have kept looking fresh for 60 some years.
