This is awesome! Is it swimmable? I swam at Champagne Beach in Dominica. The water was slightly warmer and the bubbles were so awesomely relaxing, that you could fall asleep!
There are plenty of pools around which are at swimmable/soakable temperatures - one of the advantages of living in a "young" country, plenty of geothermal activity.
Thank you. Unfortunately I don't know more.
We were driving from Andorra to Spain trough the Pyrenees mountains, France, when I saw this and shot it.
- I also tried to remember where it was, so I can find maybe some more info about it... I'll try more
I've always loved this image Bill. Never get tired of seeing it.

Thanks Kevin...
He's on or near the top of my list of all time favorite cats. I don't get to see him much, as he's part of the "transition team" that's staying with my wife in San Diego during my work adventure in Santa Barbara.
Wow! Big jump there! Skipped completely over U and V ! Reminds me of a childhood joke we use to tell. A boy tells his teacher he has to go to the bathroom, she says he has to say the alphabet first. So he stands there and says as fast as he can; "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOQRSTUVWXYZ"
To this the teacher says " that was a nice try but what happened to the P?"
To which he replied; "its running down my leg!"
Funny how certain things that happen bring back childhood memories!
You've gone from U, V, W back to V. (And St. Vincent is S not V). What we need is an X or maybe a Y, not another V
Sorry, I started looking for an X and somehow ended up with a sort of V. I'll edit for an X and someone can do a Y.

And since they see it, they don't know to change the setting without be reminded or told to!

This ship is really nice - it is actually the Bluenose !!, a replica of the original Bluenose, a Canadian fishing and racing schooner from Nova Scotia built in 1921; all wood.
We took an 1 hour trip on it on the Atlantic Ocean. Here she's anchored in the Lunenburg (NS) harbor
- it was a cold, rainy, windy day when I took this photo, that's why this beautiful light on here - I love stormy, rainy light and I only had a small old PS camera...
This is very nice (despite the blown out whites) - was this taken by you? - it looks so much different than your shots after this date...
You must have been quite young ???

Yes I took it - I was traveling in Portugal in 1964 and I was 26 years old - taken with a Kodak Retina Reflex camera and Kodachrome slide film. (probably ASA 25 so no match for the harsh sun and shadows) No flash, no automatic focus, no automatic exposure. I was traveling with my sister and one year old niece. I went out one morning to the fish market and there was also a vegetable market where this was taken.
This was one my sister took of me in Madrid on that same trip - I'm pushing the stroller with my niece and I turned around to say something to her.
We found that with the baby, one of us was always holding the baby (who wasn't walking yet - although mine that was about the same age was) and couldn't also use a camera, so we would take turns. And then when we got together afterward, we duplicated the good photos that each of us took. I am sure though that the ones taken that morning were all taken by me as my sister is a night owl and was not up yet that morning.

Thanks Jag. This Champagne Pool is too hot to swim in - the surface temperature is 74C/165F (see attached photo for the info on the pool: http://torrbrae.smugmug.com/Dgrin/Dgrin-Alphabet-Game/i-QWKdqNV/0/L/C201204061007556-L.jpg).

This is the second one we have of this. It wasn't very interesting the first time
Hi grandmaR,
In the spirit of just trying to be helpful, I've already sent a PM about it and also the commenting in the main thread as opposed to this one.
