Yeah. That thing is pretty cool. I seriously hover over it and zone out for hours at a time. :)

How do you get the "fly-out" menus on your site.

I really like what you have so far!

If you have a link to a folder, and the folder has galleries, you can choose to include the nested galleries in the Link from the menu. You can also make them sublinks manually. Check out this how to video I just made for you

On David's menu, you can see his logo in IE9, but Firefox 22.0 is cropping the logo.

This is a local issue for you only. In Firefox reset your zoom.

Not sure it is that, Andy. I use FF 22.0 and when I view David's site I can expand zoom infinitely and the menu adjusts without cropping.

I've noticed some design discrepancies using different browsers but the biggest one is that IE8 and lower doesn't allow my boxes and sidebars to be transparent. Also my favicon doesn't work at all.

Both IE9 and Firefox 22.0 are set at 100%. Zooming in and out with Firefox 22.0 doesn't change the crop.

    I had a look but ...
    1) with no sound I'm left trying to scan the whole screen to see what you have clicked or what you are changing ... totally lost me
    2) the screen elements are so small that I can't read the text nor what you were typing.

Thanks for making it - hopefully it will help someone ... but it is a total bust for me.
I am just SO frustrated trying to figure out how I am supposed to do even basic stuff.
PLEASE ... PLEASE ... PLEASE get some instructions out on how to do stuff!!!!!!!
My opinion does not necessarily make it true. What you do with my opinion is entirely up to you.

If you make a living off of your site you naturally are going to wait for some period of time until you make the move. Caution is the word. However, other than issues related to server overload my migration went fine. I am just short of 6,400 pictures in 200 galleries. My Lighroom plugin from Jeffrey Friedl is working fine. I even drug a Folder under a new folder in SmugMug and the plugin had no problems updating the gallery. So it looks like gallery addresses are maintained and the organization is a virtual one. I need to do more testing however. I can see for sure that people are going to have problems figuring out how this new customization process works. Other than some missing features I haven't seen any problems.

Thanks Andy - yes I have seen these pages. Webinar Video - 1 hour with first 20 mins showing us stuff and rest answering questions. What I am after is something I can quickly scan so that I get the info I need. I couldn't find anything I needed on the other pages.

I DID get a multi-level menu set up ... but only with trial and error and accident. For me at the moment that seems to be the method to get things done ... but I am now stuck on a few items. Nothing I try gets me what I want. Have emailed help desk and also used customization forum.

I always did think you seemed to be a practical person, Sara! I can't futz around with it right now either-- this month is about to go nuts on me (college kids comin' home), and it appears a few freight train-loads of crap need to just settle down or get fixed or get explained or change before it's worth diving into. We'd probably spend a fraction of the time in a few weeks than we'd spend now anyway, with these little fires popping up all over the place. So... time to pull out the old mandolin or fiddle & polish up a few reels for a bit til it sounds less like a roller-coaster ride gone SNAFU around here?!

Aaargh, I sure do hope you've been able to get those photos up though! I imagine it's all the migrating, & anyone trying to upload is like a goose flying North in October. In fact, I've wondered why SmugMug didn't simply limit the number of people to migrate at a time. It's a little bizarre with all their experience that they'd think the mass switch-throwing would be workable. Instead of the "few minutes" migration time, lots have experienced days... but why does this surprise anyone?

Anna- I'm a little bit heartened by what I have read in this thread, so far, but still do not have time to work on this thing. I think it makes sense (for me, anyway) to wait until the dust has settled. At least I've calmed down beyond the "I'm outta here" phase. :D h yeah, I did get the photos up. I have no idea what the problem was except maybe there was so much bloody activity on the servers it bolloxed things up.

Hmmmm, working for me in FF 22...I tried resizing the browser too all different sizes and it never cut off, but I will keep investigating.

David, have you thought about collapsing your nav menu for mobile? Right now on an iphone, the whole screen, no matter what page you are on, is just nav bar links, which keeps viewers away from your awesome photography! :)

Great feedback Ace!! I don't have a microphone here at home, so I couldn't record sound :( But that is a great idea, and will start doing those tomorrow. If you have specific questions you would like me to address (with sound) I can do it tomorrow from the office.

    Thanks!

Glad to hear Sara! We have no problem with you waiting until the dust settles. That's why we have put in the extra work for you to have this option. Just know that when you are ready, we will be there with you to help every step of the way! :D

Ummmm collapsing as in removing links or is there an actual way to collapse the menu bar?
