    The fix went in during the scheduled maintenance, however, it will take us some time to catch up and process the Smart Galleries. I'll do my best to update you when the processing is complete.

    I uploaded several files on 8/28. Some of the photos appear correctly in a Smart Gallery set to pull photos with a particular keyword. Other photos uploaded at the same time and with the same keyword do not appear in the Smart Gallery. In a test, i created a new Smart Gallery to pull a different keyword, added that keyword to 4 photos. None of them show up in the Smart Gallery. Photos can be found by searching those same keywords that don't work in Smart Galleries.

    Also, what is this Smug Preview crap? Maybe it's been there for awhile and I haven't noticed it, but how is it serving any purpose other than confusion?

    An outage occured last weekend that caused Smart Galleries to stop working. A fix was pushed on Thursday, however, it requires some amount of time for us to catch up and recognize all of the keywords. This keyword processing is still running. Once complete, they should show up in your Smart Galleries. I'll do my best to update this thread when the processing has finished. Please allow 24-48 hours.

    Could you point me to the Smug Preview that you're mentioning?

    It's right there when choosing a gallery to pull from in the Smart Gallery setup.

    Those are showing all the galleries you've created while in New SmugMug. This is a bug and we're currently working on a fix.

    Last week we pushed an update that changes the way Galleries are selected in Smart Gallery Settings. You'll now see the "Picker" -- the pop-up that lets you browse your site and select galleries. The drop-down menu linked above will no longer be displayed. This should fix the "Smug Preview" issue you were seeing above.

    Are smart Galleries\Rules working properly or is it just extremely slow getting the keywords indexed?

    Gallery created last night and keywords were added to photos.
    14 hours later and images still not showing up.

    I have a smart gallery and it is not showing any images.
    A search on the same keyword shows images.

    Is the gallery Private or unlisted? Only you as owner can see into a Private gallery, nothing will get out
    to a Smart gallery.

    Thanks got it working
    For some reason I had some parent folders marked private.

    Smart galleries will not pull from any private galleries I am assuming.

    That is correct. If a folder is set to private, all folders and galleries in that folder will be private as well.
