Denmark is a land "of bicycles". There are tons of them and many people has more than one. Every respectable city has public rental bikes for tourists and every public forest is loaded with mountain bike trails (unfortunately) etc. One never ask if it's a weather for biking. You just decide what's todays proper outfit for biking.
Fun picture!
Curious...why is it unfortunate that forests are loaded with mountain bike trails?
You might instant have given this the thought, that the bicycle is recommended for a 2 kids family, but it's not. If the kids are old enough to be any help, they are also so old that they aren't encouraged to take family rides
Yep, always a bummer to see neglected and partially stolen bicycles.
Aspect not specifically mentioned, but the one that really pppps me off is the vandalism one - if some part is stolen, but the rest of the bike isn't trashed it can still be of some use to someone when the bike is eventually disposed of - as in an auction by the police.

Depends on the kids, imo ... both my daughters (29/32) would be up for joining the 'ol man' on something like this ... if only to show how much fitter they are Yngr one has recently returned from a trip that ended with a Canada > Mexico bike ride .
Btw, like the bike in rain shot - but again, would've loved to see a water level pov version ...
In Copenhagen, where I live, there are bikes, bikes and more bikes.
No. 1. The situation outside my residence. There is a lot of cargo bikes in Copenhagen. They are mainly used for children transportation, but the one in the picture is a part of a pizza delivery service.
No. 2. Opposite my residence.
No. 3. The bicycle mechanic on the corner opposite my residence. There are three mechanics in "my" street.

Some trails are OK, but it has come out of balance. There are so many, that wildlife is disturbed profoundly.
