Deleting Gallery Quick Settings

Hi - so I never fully understood quick settings initially but now do. I created some and now want to delete them but when I searched how to do this - it looks like the instructions are only for legacy and nothing for new site.

How do I just clear out all my quick settings or alternatively edit the quick settings I have including renaming them?

How is this not possible! Ugh so frustrating as I have now two quick settings with the same (almost the same) name and the window doesn't say the full setting name so I don't know which is which and therefore need to create a third one!

Definitely poor software design. Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to fix.
There are a lot of what seem like easy to fix problems in smugmug that go month after month without being fixed. deal.gif

    Cheers,

Agreed - it really is amazing how many areas that appear to be quick simple fixes (even to someone like me who knows nothing really about coding) if all this effort was put in a total overhaul of the UI - how were so many small but important things (like this) just totally overlooked?

I agree, OP and Dennis. I'd love to clean up my list of Quick Settings a bit, instead of having old versions cluttering things up.
And yes, having such a narrow window for the pulldown menu list where we can't read the full names is another good point. With all this "widescreen" talk everywhere, why are the customizing menu windows so narrow in places like this? I've seen this in other apps and online pages too. ne_nau.gif

The ability to delete quick settings was implemented on April 18, 2014, as noted in this post in the thread [Implemented]Delete Button for Quick Settings in New SmugMug.

I just verified that the ability still exists to delete quick settings (on my site).

From the help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1227357:
To delete an existing Quick Setting, select it from the dropdown menu and click the trachcan icon. Note that this will delete that Quick Setting entirely, even if it's currently applied to other galleries. So make sure you want to remove it across your site before deleting.
