README: Problems Posting or Starting Threads

I hit reply to someone and their quote is not showing in the reply box?

Earlier I hit preview for a reply and the preview showed but the reply box emptied?

Did I toggle something in my profile to not show quotes in replies? Have not been in
my profile for along time.

    Log out and back in again. It may be necessary to clear any cookies you have for .dgrin.com.

    going to blank screen
    So far this morning I've tried a search that took me to a blank screen with nothing on it, and just now posting new thread gave me the same thing.

    The window that my submitting a new thread to has dgrin com /newthread.php?do=postthread&f=64 showing in the address bar, but view source only brings up another blank screen.

    Please try logging out, removing any dgrin cookies, and logging back in.

    Impossible to post a topic whose title contains certain words
    If I try to preview or post a topic that contains the words "SmugMug-style gallery" in the title (anywhere in the title), I get a 500 Internal Error error code from the server and a white page!

    Try posting a new topic with that title, click "preview post" instead of actually posting it, it gives me the same white page error.

    Confirmed on my end too. How odd! I couldn't get that to work either. Safari/OSX. And it was just that exact phrase. I tried editing it slightly in about all the ways that shouldn't matter, and it did work. I suspect the NSA is involved and we've discovered one of their secret backdoor keywords or something (kidding).

    I'm having the same problem since yesterday.

    Cleared cookies and signed back in but same problem.

    Can't post a new thread.

    I just had the same problem and it went to a blank white screen. The irony of this was that I was posting the question in a new thread in our moderators and admin section (hidden, btw) about this very situation.

    EDIT: People at the top are working on this.

    EDIT 2: Happens in Safari.

    I haven't been able to post in Support/Smugmug API formum. I type the post and title but when I click on Submit I end up with a blank page. A view source shows completely blank.

    So I'm trying here as a test.

    Have you tried logging out, clearing your browser's cache and getting rid of the dgrin related cookies?

    Try creating your thread. If it fails, change the title (go back in the browser to your post). Does that work?

    I'm having the same problem in the Smugmug Support forum. I've tried on 2 computers and an iPhone. Chrome and Safari.

    I tried it once and it did not work (only added a question mark to the title).

    I just tried again changing the title significantly and it worked.

    This is very odd. Hope it can be fixed.

    I am also having the same problem on the Smugmug Support Forum. Tried several times with two browsers (Safari and Firefox) and a long delay with no luck. Just a white page after clicking submit.

    I will try clearing cache to see if that helps.

    Just cleared the caches in Firefox and Safari and restarted both. Still cannot post a new thread in the Smugmug Support Forum.

    Curious. I also tried disabling all my browser extensions but still no luck. I then changed my new post title from "Image view stats and Gallery Styles" to "Image view stats and the impact of gallery styles" as per a suggestion by ian408 above and it worked. Can anyone explain why?

    FYI - just had this problem in the New SM Cutomization forum. Wasn't happening there for me recently before today.

    Hope this is being worked on. I'm sure it's turning more forum members away than are willing to search for the workaround.

    Same issue as everyone else. I cannot post. I've tried changing title text. When I try to preview a post, I get a blank white screen. Hey SmuMug/DGRIN, please fix the problem !

    This happens to me too, in latest Chrome and Firefox. I looked in developer tools - dgrin returns a "500 internal server error". This happens for some specific thread subjects but not for others. Examples:

    "How long may a smart gallery take to update?"
    "gallery time"

    Works fine for these:

    "test"
    "gallery update"
    "Smart gallery"
