README: Problems Posting or Starting Threads

I'm having this problem today, attempting to add a thread to the SmugMug Feature Requests forum.

I've tried in Chrome, Firefox, and IE.
I've cleared the browser cache.
I've changed the title, multiple times.

I am unable to post a new thread.

I've tried several times today to post a new thread. I simply get a white screen. I've logged out several times, then cleared cache, and changed the title. No joy!

Then I tried sending a email via the contact icon in the lower left. When I hit send, it asked me to identify a subject and description....which were already filled out.

What's going on?

If you were experiencing problems, can you try again and report back?

I just experienced this same issue trying to start a new thread. Turns out it didn't like the words "Shots" or "Shooting" in the title...

We don't sensor titles.

Ian, if you believe that, then please create a new topic with the title "SmugMug-style gallery". You only need to click "preview post", not "submit new thread", from the posting page. Some keywords in the title make the topic impossible to post.

We haven't been able to figure out so far what's causing this problem. What Ian meant is that it's not due to anything we control. It's a bug, not a feature.

Are any DGrin administrators aware of the problem? I imagine it'd be a trivial problem to spot in their error logs.

My bet is on an overly-sensitive WAF.

EDIT: or given the keywords that I've observed, possibly a half-baked system that was intended to allow an SM gallery of photos to be posted.

I've been trying to post on this forum and am not successful.

I am trying this as a test to see if the problem has been fixed.

I'm also unable to post a new thread. Been trying in "wildlife" for more than a week and all I get is a blank white screen when I try to submit or preview. I've cleared cookies, logged out and back in, etc. What else should I try?

Change your thread title. It's the title that triggers the white screen.

Blank Page while opening thread

Try changing the thread title; that has worked for others.
