Order of Folders & Galleries

I can't seem to find the answer to this, but it seems like it should be simple despite the fact I can't figure it out. I have a "Client Galleries" folder. Within that I have a combination of folders containing multiple galleries and individual galleries not in folders. I want folders and galleries to be sorted the same way...newest first. I see how to do this for Folders and for Galleries separately, but Folders always display above all Galleries.

How can I desegregate Folders and Galleries with regard to the way they display and force them to display by date added?

Thanks,

Mike

You can pick "items I choose" and select folders, pages and galleries in the order you want them to
appear. But, you can not rearrange without picking again in a new order.

After doing this and wanting to re-pick I open a new tab so I can see my original picks for reference.
    Helps me remember what's there.

Thanks for the quick reply, Allen. I see how to do this for Galleries and Folders. How can I "intermingle" the two so that no matter if it's a gallery or folder, the newest floats to the top of the page?

When you choose, just highlight each in order. Use the breadcrumb to go up and down.
As you pick one the number selected should show in the upper right.

Oh, make it a "folders, galleries and pages block."
    I just picked in order
    gallery ... folder ... page ... page ... folder ... gallery

Here's a quote from another thread where a user wanted to integrate folders and galleries in the same block of space.

I think I understand what you want to do. This may work for you:

    1) Click Customize > Customize site
    2) Click the All Folders heading
    3) Drag a Folders, galleries and Pages content block to the main view (under Content > Navigation). This content block allows you to display folders, galleries, and pages all within the same area (rather than divided sections)
    4) Edit that content block and set it to be arranged by name. Since you are naming your galleries and folders with a date system, that should arrange them in order by date, putting the folder in the middle of the galleries in the correct position.

    I hope this helps!
