I loved the Mini Challenge #229: Public Art, and regretted I couldn't post more than 3 images, so I thought I'd start a separate thread where we all can post all the photos on this subject.

If you like art and taking photos of man made art/artistic creations post them here. As in the "mini", they can be fine art paintings, statues, sculptures, pseudo art, graffiti, murals, decorative elements, crafts, etc, etc.

I'll start with a few:

Neat idea for a thread, Tatiana!

In Columbia, South Carolina, there are a series of public art pieces by a local artist known as Blue Sky. Probably his best known work is Tunnelvision which was painted on the side of a bank in 1975.





Near Tunnelvision is his work Busted Plug Plaza, a massive hydrant some 40 feet tall, and weighing 675,000 pounds. Blue Sky has created more than two dozen pieces of public art, both murals and sculptures, many in the Columbia area.

Thanks, Tatiana - the entire garden was very interesting and this big "thing" in the middle of a pond was fascinating. I'll be sure to share some more from this location!
