It's not a bad choice of topic but some people are better at seeing funny.
Jeff, this was good topic. I think the caption or title for an image helps viewers to understand the photographers vision. Perhaps people are busy with other pursuits at this time of year.

I think that is most likely the case. We always have a slow down during the summer months as people get out and hopefully shoot more. It usually will pick up when the colder temps come about. I think the topic is uniquely fun!
