5 cars huh? That's like what....1 a year. What exactly are you doing to these poor cars that they only last one year? Yes Andy has had a lot of cameras in the last 3 years but how much was he able to sell them for when he did get rid of them compared to what you got for your cars when you got rid of them?
Oh, and by the way it's spelled b-o-l-o-g-n-a, I think it's time you hit the books a little harder.
This isn't a spelling bee
1987 BMW 325e: split $3000 with dad
1975 BMW 2002: bought for $500 sold for $450
1985 Mercedes 500SEL: bought for $500 sold for $1500
1986 BMW 325e: bought for $1400 sold for $1600
1986 BMW 325es: Got for Free! currently selling for $2000
I actually made money on almost every car I've bought. I don't think electronics appreciate...
tut-tut-tut respect, boy, respect. And, remember, you're on the wild, cutting edge of the internet here, so haveth-thou thick skin!
BTW I promise I've not deleted or added anything
As to number of cars - I'll say it before anyone else does: the apple doesn't fall far from the tree
Cameras I've had? I don't know that we can count them all
You deleted pics of my lady friends:D
I've taken internet hits harder than all of you have if you feel like it, read this 40 page thread (or just read the first 3 pages to get the idea) when I got slammed http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=62626

Alright! Though you were way low on the $$$ on that first car. And I have the receipts to back that up and, you still owe me slave labor around the compound as far as I can tell!
I think we can work something out
Back to studying with you, now, run along, run along
I thought you were implying that I didn't earn my last 4 cars
No, what I'm saying is that you feel that you are entitled to having something given to you for next to nothing. Sure, you're going to school at no cost to your dad, but what have you done? You're one semester into it. The way I see it, you're entitled to nothing, and that sense of entitlement is not going to serve you well in this life. You have a car, it gets you around. What more do you need?

andysson, you're lucky to have had even one car by your very young age, used or not. When I was a teenager, we had to steal car parts at 3am from the dumpsters behind auto parts stores and foreign car dealers. Most of the parts were rusty or defective. Yet, we managed to cobble together working albeit coughing, sputtering sparking automobiles that we knew would never really be road legal. And we liked it.
A 325es? Best car I ever almost owned. Mine was a lease, and a dam* expensive lease, and a beautiful shiny dolphin grey 2 door. Suweeeet hunk of metal that one was. Not too many 30 year old working adults have had the pleasure of a design that nice. Yup, fill that baby up with a full tank of petrol at the top of the continental divide, go downhill for 35 miles or so and see the orange glow readout from the es's trip computer read out 317 miles to empty... 375 miles to empty... 449 miles to empty... 521 miles to empty... and all along knowing that eventually, somewhere probably in Nebraska, you'd need to fill the thing up again. My white 320i was a fun car too, but the sunroof leaked badly. Yet you want more.
Working at a BayEmVey dealer you say? Well, I know what I'd tell my david'sson, assuming I had a david'sson. Your next motoring opportunity awaits you there, in some future trade-in, and from the future money you'll earn. Operative word of the day... future.
Lobbying your dad for yet another car is only one more thing he'll probably elbow you about time and time again in the future. Mark my words.
And then... the day you'll dread (that you are still too young to know about) will come around to haunt you, and when your dad will laugh his arse off when you tell him about it, is when your own son will be bugging you for his 5th car at age 18 or 19. Yes, this will happen - and you will remember these few days like they were yesterday. Sonofandy'sson will corner you too.
Then you'll know what we alrerady do.

I read it. You asked about your father's camera purchases. The answer is that he earned them. He makes money. He can spend it how he sees fit.
