Mini-Challenge #318 Gone Fishing

This mini will focus on images of people engaged in sport or commercial fishing. Anything goes, as long as the image includes some aspect of the activity of seeking or catching fish. No bears or birds please

This will be most challenging due to the preciseness of the challenge theme! Had to really dig to meet your expectations, and this is all I can come up with.

1 Locals fishing in Tangier Morocco

2 Returning with the catch of the day and getting more for then expected (Cabo San Lucas)

3 Fishing for crustaceans (Roseau, Dominica) a minimalistic view

This one is not for the challenge, but was the first one I thought of an found in my archives;
Fake fishing for votes, made for a DDS challenge years ago.

I'll enter for fun this time - we're traveling in June, so please don't consider these as entries. And like Joyce, my pickings were pretty slim, so I've limited my choices to one sunny afternoon at the end of a bike ride on the French coast.

3) Before you eat it, you gotta clean it... (he was hoping I'd be grossed out by watching him cut off the heads. I wasn't. :-)

Thank you Joyce and Sara for starting us off with some great shots. If you had not confessed, Joyce, I would not have known that the fourth shot was staged

Found a couple:

1) Yellowstone NP - fly fisherman caught while I was really in the hunt for buffalo photos. I wasn't paying attention to the low setting sun that blew the fisherman out, but liked seeing the line lit up.

2) I was trying to set up the tripod on the edge of a thundering (due to large snow melt) Merced River just outside Yosemite, when a friendly fisherman came up the bank with a huge grin and a fish on the hook.. Not the best shot, but he was sooo proud of his catch in the wilds.

3) Silver Lake on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Range. These fisherman were getting the last fishing in before the Fall close.

Not for the mini - but this is what Silver Lake looks like after the Fall closing - no more fishing before the snow hits.

I have photos of a lot of commercial fishing- Menhaden boats in the Potomac, Tuna boats in Ecuador. But I also have some individuals fishing. I thought I had used this one before, but apparently not
1. "Santa Claus" fishing in the Madison River in Yellowstone.

Just to let you know that I will also be traveling June 5 - 23 to Utah in an attempt to photograph the notorious FLDS clan in the "wild". Wish me luck! You may want to consider these a just a "fun" entry.
