we passed bicyclists going up Mt. Evans in Colorado. tallest paved road in north america. 14,200 feet. taller than pikes peak.
god made the motorcycle so man wouldn't have to pedal anymore.
I hear you. But with the right gear ratio, pedaling up Mt. Washington's 8miles wasn't so bad. But seriously, coming down? Scarier than seeing Gus first thing in the morning :yikes
my first digicam was a Nikon Coolpix 775. 2.3 megapixel. bless its heart it lasted over 2 years but started shutting down at random. still got it, what can you do, throw it out?
then I got a Canon A80 which had a hiccup and was replaced by Best Buy with an A95. god bless george bush and extended warranties.
from 2003. million dollar hwy. maybe the best pic the little nikon ever delivered. the other ones are from 2004. and the way it looks now I'll probably be on the million dollar hwy in 06.
being single has its advantages. good dinner at night is not one of them.
Take me to your leader
Take me for a ride
The shutters were never open
The days I used to hide
All of the things
I never knew
I should have said
When you looked like Frida Kahlo
Curled up in bed
Don't say "Thank god for simple truths"
Don't drink the water, baby
Don't drink the water, baby
Great wide stretches of canvas
Signed by a godless name
Strange bright colours of madness
Only a fool would frame
Sketches of pain
Sketches of pain
Sketches of pain
And we won the war, lost the battle
Lost the war, won the battle
Won the war, lost the battle
Lost the war
All for the love of the humdrum and humble
Colour for the colourblind
All for the love of the humdrum and humble
Through the human eye
Nature a soul extreme
Nothing seems to die
Pictures in a magazine
theres something about a thread like this that seems to make using throw away shots make sense. In 2004 on Oct 30 I saw and took the best fall foliage I've ever seen. It was a Sunday, 70 degrees, blue skies, and the colors were staggering. This picture isn't a great color shot from that day, but its an interesting shot when you consider how annoying Katie Couric is and why that greedy little high school level journalist...

being on the million dollar hwy in the morning in july in the sun when its warm, isn't all bad. but a coffee and bagel shop would be nice.
found some in silverton.
as a matter of fact the coffee was so good I brought some friends back.
a year later.
we needed some coffee after a wild night of partying with some pretty unsavory characters.
