Awesome pics, I've been waiting for the right time to try to get something similar to the first one - a silky effect over (in my case) moonlit pebbles. Those colours are amazing and bring the shot to life. Great long exposure! thumb.gif

    Thanks Mesaman,

yes, long exposures are fun...and I would love to see your moonlit pebble shot once you get it.

I love how the colours came up in this as well.

    Cheers,

I was looking into some of these filters. There is one that is worth about $400 & works like a CP out to 32 from memory. Just pu tthe one on & go from there...not sure how it works exactly...i saw it on the net a while back & now i cant find it again.

    Thanks mate thumb.gif

yeah, i believe the filters are well worth the investment. But I do need some sort of CP fliter or the like for my external holder. If you got any info I would be interested.

    Cheers,

By the way,i noticed in your EXIF data that you have your camera set to sRGB-for printing purposes it is better to set it at Adobe RGB.

Make sure your printer is set up for high quality as well.

hmmm....I will have to check this out and print a few test photos. Do u print directly from photoshop or using that easy-photoprint thing ?

I couldn't pick a favorite. The colors really grab you in the first two, but the subtlety of the colors in the third along with the composition are just as powerful. thumb.gifthumb.gif

    Thanks Dixie,

I intentionally kept the colours subtle in the 3rd image, as I really liked the rustic orange colur on the piers supports, as well as the mucky green water.

    hi david

Adobe RGB has a better gamut for print-i use the easy- photoprint a lot of the time as it saves you having to size your image and the crop tool is better than my mouldy oldy photoshop.sRGB is better if you want to shoot for photos that will appear on the web etc.for honest comparisons make sure that the printers"vivid photo",image optimizer etc and noise reduction is turned off.

by the way sold one of my large photos the other day for $350,framed-thats about a half of my framing costs-two more of those and break-even on the collection starts to happen...
