Hi y'all,

I've been busy the last few days with Andy and ian stopping by. Since Andy got all excited when he took a pic of an egret I let him ring in Egret Fest in his post. Here's a few shots from the recent wildlife shoot.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Egrets egrets egrets. They're' everywhere down here, folks. I had one in my ear this morning, waking me up. An egret served me coffee at the Starbucks - the "flip" is not the only thing they're good at!

BTW Harry, thanks for the hospitality, the guiding, and the boids. Oh and nice work deal.gif

Carolina Egret fest, things are a bit different......
I have some more like this, and I will get to them after I have some sleep! More sleep, I should say. But to start Egret Fest from the great state of South Carolina!

Why thank you Andy. Its been a pleasure showing you around, making you coffee, finding you birds to shoot, and watching you have a tantrum when we didn't stop or lunch at exactly noon. rolleyes1.gif

    Nice shots guys.
I'll catch up on this Egret thing in June. :cry
Maybe it will be above 32 degrees and the ice on the lakes will melt.

In the meantime, how's this for something with wings.

Last weekend, in Red Wing, Mn.
There is an area of the river that stays open year round because of the
power plant upstream. Two days before I went, I was told that they
had counted 60 bald eagles in a small area.
At one time, 20 were counted sitting in one tree.
When I went there were only 6-8 birds, but they were fairly active.

My best shot of the day.

Beautiful Eagle Dave, how lucky you are to be so close to that many, and be able to photograph them so well. Now we can expect to see eagle post for rest of the year I hope.

Around Mar 1 of every year, it's a month-long festival. Parties, cakes, free beer, ribs for everyone. Egrets are the preferred bird for the month. It's a wonderful thing lol3.gif
