How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Around Mar 1 of every year, it's a month-long festival. Parties, cakes, free beer, ribs for everyone. Egrets are the preferred bird for the month. It's a wonderful thing lol3.gif

A fine answer Andrew. Anybody who wants the free beer beer.gif just have to drop by my place for their Corona. :D

OK, so I tried to do my part for the fest.

Hit the basin this morning at 7:00AM to find this waiting for me:

Yes it was very foggy and boy was it COLD!!!!!
There were slim pickings, but I did manage to get a couple, albeit bad snaps and one feeding to coincide with the challenge lol3.gif

Harry, I in my humble abode w/o a hot tub, I see your Egret in the bushes and raise you with a Carolina Egret in the bushes. (this is as close as I got. Hoping to shoot reflections of something else, I had on my 70-200. I took a few and hoped to come closer. Got to here.

So, I raise you! Oh, very nice reflection you got there up at the top! And nice sharp photos! (my ISO was 100, and I will try not to do that again, as you can see the light was going.) Probably very little grain, though. rolleyes1.gif

Pavo, that is a wonderful shot! Glad you are here, too, and glad I had to post on here and then saw your shot!

I am putting this one all over: the parent egrets, and the egret to be! No sonograms available :cry .
