Wonderful pictures. Personally, I wouldn't crop it because the smooth, graceful water flow makes a nice counterpoint to the static and rough rocks. Nicely done.
I like your latest rendition. I'm not sure how far you can do this, but see if you can sharpen the rocks so that you have both soft and sharp elements in the photograph. I think the overall photograph has a 'soft' feel to it. But overall its much better than the predecessor.
