Faces of the 2006 Shootout

I created a little collage using the photomerge techniques Marc showed us in ZIon:

The actual pictures (with the 8mp "originals" enabled ) with all the shootout portraits or somehow people-involved shots are here: http://nik.smugmug.com/gallery/1510402. It is a rather large one, so be aware:-)

If for some reason you think *your* picture should *not* be there - just send me pm/email and the link and I'll gladly remove it. And if you want RAW file(s) of yourself - again, email me and I'll be glad to oblige.

    Very nice Nik. I've got a cool shot of you from Angels Landing that I haven't processed yet, I'll try to post it tonight. You did a great job of including everyone in your shots.

    This was in fact an awesome place. Called Island In The Sky, Green River view, in Canyonlands, next to Moab, UT.
    We were shooting sunset there. Skippy and I broke away from the pack and wandered over here:

    See a little fella on the top of the drop-off on the very right? We were there. And, unlike AL, there was absolutely nothing there that would keep you away from a dozen or so seconds of a free fall...

    Fabulous photograph, Nikolai! I'm not sure my current computer would be up to making such a big collage, but I am inspired to try as soon as I get the super powerful machine that I hope to acquire one of these days...

    Since I seem to have upheld the tradition established in both my high school and college class photos by not appearing in this one either, I would like to go on record as saying that I was there. Really. rolleyes1.gif And it was a truly extraordinary experience. clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

    It's not your fault, it's mine. I was simply too much concentrated of taking landscape picture that I didn't put enough attention to personal ones, especialy of our few rare females. I sincerely apologize for that.

    Thanks for looking! It's a shame I didn't take any closeups on you! Please make sure you attending the next shootout, so we can fix this little mistake of mine mwink.gif

    As to the collage - you don't have to have an Alienware to create such a thing. After I have selected the pictures that would go for it I kinda calculated the desired size for each picture and ran an image processor with the 240x240 box and 6 image quality. Each file became just a dozen Kb or so, so Photomerge swallowed them withought a hitch.

    And in fact you are on some of those pictures (I found at least 3).
