EXIF gone all weird!!

Ive just been updating my site and using the Bulk zoom thumbnail tool (ive no idea if that is relevant) and happened to look down at the Exif and apparently my camera is a;

"ÁÏÍ(¥¤œ¢¡&’¶±m)5£ku¬¢› (Mó¥dsrÅ{dýäÒ’´•¹u)"

:scratch

It should be a Canon 350D. Any idea what has happened?!?!?! Is it just the IE i am using here in the office or has the EXIF really gone screwy?

    Does it only show like that on smugmug? or does it show like that on the photos on your computer too?

    Just uploaded a new photo and EXIF data ok. All others have corrupted data.

    It was all fine on smugmug the other day, as mentioned above ive been making a few mods to my site using the bulk zoom tool and happened to look down and notice the problem.

    All the EXIF on my original RAW files at home are fine.

    Some of those photos have been on smugmug since October last year (when i signed up) so it looks something smugmug related. Which looking at Allen's post above seems to be the case

    Click on EXIF and you'll see some really wierd stuff.eek7.gif
    Example:

    Date Taken: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 Date Digitized: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 Date Modified: 0000-00-00 00:00:00 Make: ¶ÁÏÍ(¥¤œ¢¡&’¶±M)5£ku¬¢› Model: mó¥dsrÅ{DýäÒ’´•¹U Size: 1413x1347 Bytes: 647148 Aperture: f/11.4 ISO: 125 Focal Length: mm (guess: 0mm in 35mm) Exposure Time: 0.7643s (-1299033957/-1699455639)

    It's not something camera related i think, it shows up on some of my artwork (.gif and .png files) too. And i know i didn't put exif data on those.

    I've got this bug too. Or should I say ¶ÁÏÍ(¥¤œ¢¡&’¶±m)5£ku¬¢› (Mó¥dsrÅ{dýäÒ’´•¹u)!!!

    And I'll echo the above comment, all the dates have been changed to 00-00-0000

    Other EXIF Data missing as well!
    Not only is the camera make/model affected, but other EXIF data is also missing. I noticed my galleries are no longer sorted by date-taken, because the date has been lost. If you check the EXIF data for a photo that has the corrupt camera field, you'll find the date fields are all set to:
    0000-00-00 00:00:00
    I uploaded some new photos a little while ago, and they seem to be fine. The existing photos are still corrupt. I think it is affecting much of the site, as I've seen the same problem browsing the galleries of others. I'm a Nikon D70 user, so I don't think it is only affecting Canon images.

    The vast majority of images EXIF data at SmugMug has been restored. (Roughly 99.5%)

    I'm busily restoring that remaining .5% now, please bear with me.
