    Tell-tales
Taken 7/1/2006 on a sail from Noank, CT to Block Island, RI

When these little strips of cloth are flying parallel to the water, they "tell" the crew that the sail is trimmed just right.
There is one on each side of the sail. The sail is pulled in (trimmed) or let out (eased) to get the wind to flow over
both sides of the sail, creating lift and pulling the boat forward.

My question is...How do you compete with a macro shot of an incoming bee with the blur trail? heh

So I'll just go with the Cliche shot of a blurred light with a blurred ghost in the picture. Taken at Craters of the Moon NP on July 03, 2006. Here John (coldclimb) writes in the Dark with a headlamp and backwords in one shot.
