It's photos like this that are getting to rethink my Rebel usage. Rather than a back up maybe a Rebel IR?

At rthe rate this camera adiction is growing how much more damage can an IR mod cost?

Kerry you left me with a feeling of amazement...I am so jealous. These are WOW IR's. Did you use a custom white balance or is this all PP.

Excellent work. You should be proud. thumb.gifiloveyou.gifclap.gif

    Kerry,

    Welcome to dgrin.

I particularly like the 2nd image. The high contrast of the yucca against the sky and background is quite striking.

Would you mind describing the post processing steps you used on your IR images from the converted Rebel. With special discussion about the color propcessing of the RAW image. These were shot in RAW weren't they??

I shoot IR with a 300D conversion, but usually process them to B&W versus the color images you posted here; so I am interested in the color processing, as I am sure other viewer's are also.

Wow, very impressive pictures. My favorites are 1 , 3, and 5.

Okay, I have no idea about IR. Do you convert a camera to do IR and if so is that all it will do? Or do some cameras have it as a function?

    Please clue me in.

These are stunning pictures. I love #1. I know nothing about IR. Are these regular pics that were PP into IR, or were they shot like this with a special lens/setting on the camera? clap.gifthumb.gifclap.gif

All are shot in RAW. It's almost criminal how simple the post technique is...I'll tell what I do toward the end of this thread...
