    Wow - that looks amazing. I've seen these in the water but never with such closeness.

    These are awesome, Gus... Definitely worth the little extra cleaning you had to do. I've seen whales breach before, but nowhere near this close.

    It's very sad that Japan thinks they need to keep hunting them. Yes, they've been doing it for years, but whales are a very slow renewing resource. With modern technology, it's far too easy to take them (and other species) out faster than they can reproduce. :cry

    Great captures Gus! Thanks for the pictures and the accompanying story...

    I had a chance (without a camera :cry) to see some breaching whales in Canada and it was incredible.
