Antonio Correia, In the second shot with the beach behind your stones , seems to have a lot of noise what was your iso/shutter speed setting?
You were fast ...
The ISO was at 50, the lowest in the 5D (old model)
May be a have overdone with clarity.
To me it is OK.
Thank you for commenting.
BTW: do you like the image ? I myself have some doubts if I really like it. I mean the second one.
The first one is clearly a poor picture because of the light. Or may be it is just me who doesn' t know to "work" the file properly ...
There are certain pics I clearly like, while others ...
I forgot to tell you that the speed was 1/200 at f/7.1
And excuse me but this picture was shot with the 20D at the lowest ISO on this camera 100.
And it was shot with the 70-200 f/2.8 IS L USM
I am sorry to be confused because I was using both cameras at the moment.
Stone tone
Here's a stone that I found in the Summer palace in Beijing. I really liked the way the sunlight was falling on the different shapes. (Greyscale conversion done in PP)

Ok, I know all of these are old, but I never got to do them because I had a camera that didn't let me do many manual things. Now I have a camera with full manual mode, so I can actually try to improve my photography by doing these. With that said, I had a BLAST with this particular assignment on my walk with my dog to a local trail. Here's what I ended up with:

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that. I just learned how to post shots onto these message boards. I'll only post "fresh" ones going forward.
