    We need more players!!!
We need somebody to cover the following blending modes:
    • Color Burn
    • Linear Burn
    • Color Dodge
    • Linear Dodge
If you think you're ok with PS - pitch in, don't be shy!

I just did an example which showed all four of my assigned blending modes in action. I'm going to try to walk through it and keep the intermediate steps. So it can serve to illustrate how they fit together and work in practice.
    If not now, when?

Rutt's most excellent tutorial on darken, lighten, color and luminosity is up here.

Make sure you check it out!

Why not? They're all doing more or less the same thing, albeit each with different results. Also, the fact that, except for Soft Light and Hard Light, they're all kind of useless, (particularly for the use that most on this forum would put them to), makes the job a little easier than, say, Multiply or Screen, which everyone uses in a wide variety of contexts. The Photoshop documentation is likewise worthless, so a consistent sample of blended images to show the different results should be sufficient.

ETA? You would ask that, wouldn't you? I'll probably have it done by the weekend. That work?

Just to let all the Mac users out there that may not be aware of this, but the 'Copyright' symbol © , can be added to your image files by simply pressing 'Alt and G', together.
Fantastic tutorials, thank you very much.
I now truly understand what the 'Fill' slider actually does.
