Got this reply from Lulu today:
Generally speaking, our printing runs a little dark, not light. Looking at your images, they're all big and vibrant, so 'washed out' and streaky is quite surprising. I'm going to guess that it's a one-time problem.

I've reordered your calendar with overnight shipping, and refunded the previous order. Please let me know if the problems remain.

    Regards,
    Joe K
clap.gif So I'm happy with that resolution, and I most likely I will end up ordering for my family after I see it based on the good results of most other folks. Not having a help line is a pain, but at least they came through for me in the end which helps restore my faith that it's a decent company to deal with.

Thanks for listening to me whine for the past few days.

    Its CMYK
According to Lulu's web site its CMYK color set.

Color set: CMYK (If you design, edit and save your image in a graphics program with a palette choice.)

    Here is a link: http://www.lulu.com/help/node/view/1682
(specs info on the bottom of the page)

I have never dealt with Lulu, just found out about from this thread and did some research on their site.
