Hi y'all,

Just got back from a visit to Atlanta to visit my son and his family and I found my brand new D2Hs waiting for me. http://dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=43943

So I ran out for a bit to try it out and make sure it worked. It was towards midday (poor lighting) and the bird activity was slight but I got few test shots in. The handling is about the same as the D2H but the IQ is better.

The standard caracara on the power pole shot.

It did well on flight shots

not a particularly good shot but an eagle shot is an eagle shot

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice shots, but as said before it looks like a very captive audience in that first photo or he just likes electricity coursing through his veinsrolleyes1.gif
The not a cormorant is a great capture as well, tough exposure too!
    May I take your picture?

Actualy the caracara had been banded by the wildlife folks around two weeks ago. They are being studied because of their endangered status.

You did give me a great idea for a new take on wildlife shots.....
