You know most Texans think we are a country.... Health keeps me from traveling at the moment but I will try to see it before it closes in May. Many congratulations, Marc!
"But ask the animals, and they will teach you." (Job 12:7)
My exhibition based upon my new book is opening this Sat evening at the Wilding Art Museum
I will be signing the first 20 copies of the book from 3 to 5 pm.
I will only understand you not being there ONLY if your from a different country
This is a fun town to visit anyway, wine taste and lunch or dinner is always a good time.
The show is great! It is definitely worth going to see and like Marc said there's always wine to be drunk in the area (Daniel Gehrs or Qupe are some of the best). Even though I've seen most of the images on computer screens and was even present for a couple of them when he was shooting them there is nothing like seeing them printed and hanging on the wall.
I saw Marc signing some extra books when I was leaving so there will probably be some in the little store to be purchased if you make it up there.
If you want to see paradise simply look around and see it.

At Marc's exhibition we got a look at a few advance copies of his new book, Exploring North American Landscapes. It looks awesome. It's available for pre-order at Amazon, and looks like it will ship by the end of this month!

Yes, I know I'm biased, but I'm loving the sense of family and photographic history, personal reflections and the deep appreciation for the beauty of the world.
Reminds me of Close Encounter of the Third Kind... lights in the sky !!

During my visit to the Philippines, I meet the proud father of acclaimed underwater photographer Scott Tuason, "Gutsy" is his nickname.
I have linked an interesting interview with him here

Just got my copy too. Like you, I am enjoying both the narrative and, of course, the instruction.

In Santa Fe there is much photographic history but sometimes it happens right in front of your eyes.
David Michael Kennedy and Norman Mauskopf discussing how to hack a "FILM" Leica.........
And wait there's more......
Norman was one of my instructors at Art Center College of Design in 1988! We both felt very old when recognizing each other after two decades......

It's only a few hour flight from either place...but I'd cut the VI crowd a little slack--if they offered me a place to stay

Perfect example of legislators going the extra mile to capitulate to constituents. I can think of two ways to fix this without passing any new laws.

The Bahamas are very flat, scrappy and the coast is rugged. Well, all except for the white sand beaches:D
