SmugSSP - SmugMug/SlideShowPro Integration (php)

Based on this thread, I decided to look into integrating SmugMug with SlideShowPro.

I came across FlickrSSP by Brian Sweeting. I used Brian's design as the template for SmugSSP.

Download SmugSSP. See it in action here.

- Version 1.0.1 - released 19 June 2007
- Version 1.0.2 - released 20 June 2007

Please note that this is primarily for someone who has an external website who wishes to retrieve SmugMug images for use with the SlideShowPro flash component.

Just a question, I downloaded this and have it working, but I don't want to take the time to create my own gallery from scratch. Is tehre any way I could ge the fla file for the demo movie included with the download so i could edit it myself? I've flash 8 and slideshow pro installed. Thanks!!

What's the difference between SSP and SSP Director?

The director is just a web interface for managing many slideshows created using slide show pro.

Has anyone had problems with this working in the Opera browser? I put one into my blog (blog.thehangar.us) and it shows the interface, but not the actualy pictures. Any ideas?

Is there any way to do thing without buying software? Like bootstrapping the slide show applet for smugmug onto an outside web page?

I'm sure integrating it with smugmug is in development, lets be patient

Also looking at Smugmug SSP, it looks like one doesn't need to have SSP as there are default files to use. SSP helps in the customization of the flash.

I remember looking at simpleviewer when I wrote this...but i can't remember.

I am not familiar with postcard viewer, but I will have a look in my spare time.

Trying to get smugSSP working
Hey guys I am trying to get smugSSP working. I read the readme and did everything it said. Does the advance config stuff go in imagex.xml or some place else? My test site is at http://thepositivenegative.com/test/ssp.html

SSP appears but no pics ???

I noticed a weird thing on my host. The image.xml file kept beingdeleted by the server. You should check and see if that is happening with you. It was weird. I setup mine on my googlepages site. Since it has pictures of my daughter i will not share the link.

There is a guy that created some intergration with flickr and simple viewer. Im kinda liking slide showpro better though.

Ok DEV I need some more help whenever you get some time. My test site is @ http://thepositivenegative.com/test/index.html . I am trying to get SmugSSP to load my gallery named "Babies" in a category names "Portfolio". My smugmug page is @ backatchaphoto.smugmug.com. I am using this command $smugssp = new smugssp($smugssp_config,null,'Portfolio'); but for some reason it is pulling images from a diffrent category and gallery all together?? weird. Anyways any help you can give would be grateful. Thanks

If you want just the 'Babies' gallery, use this...

$smugssp = new smugssp($smugssp_config,'2581249'); //Returns just one gallery

I am trying to get it to work, but I don't really know what I am doing wrong. All I get is a blank page. I don't want to post the config file here. but it looks set up correctly. Should it be writing the xml info to that document? Right now its empty.

Dev helped me set this up for the home page of Adventure Rider and I'm getting a lot of good feedback for it. I'm in the midst of playing with options, like providing a nav bar, etc.

I don't seem to be able to get it to embed in vBulletin posts, but I'm working on it.
