Took most of these in Monterey bay, California

Harbour Seal

It seems squirrel shots are a prerequisite for dgrin nowadays!

Gull doing his thing!

Cormorant

red-breasted merganser

Then I went to Morro Bay, and things went downhill.
This was one of my last shots with my 400DO lens before I twisted my ankle, and managed to split my lens into two pieces.
Canon has graciously accepted to fix it for $1777.17!

Sorry to hear about your ankle and your lens.
The repair bill for the lens sounds more painful than the ankle! :cry

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I absolutely love that hummingbird shot. Sorry to hear about the ankle and the lens. That 400DO is a precious lens. I hope Canon can get that back to you reasonably soon.

Wow, some great shots. I like the first, the squirrel and, my favorite here, the gull with the starfish. Don't see that every day.

    Squirrels eat iceplant?
I didn't know that! I like the one of the seagull with the starfish! I'm surprised you were able to get so close or even aim a lens at the bird when it had food in it's mough! rolleyes1.gif

:hurt Ouch....i really don't know which would upset me more...I've hurt an ankle before but I am pretty sure i'd rather hurt it again than break a lens...if the ankle didn't make me cry the lens would for sure.

Hope both are back in running order again soonnod.gif

Really great shots. I was scrolling down, saw the flower shot and thought, no big deal, then I kept scroling and my jaw dropped! Super Hummingbird!

Great squirrel, unique shot - but aren't squirrels just rats with better marketing? Come on a fluffy tail and everybody loves them!(?)
