How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hey Thiago
to hear from ya again, Harry! :-)
I'm very very glad you're fine again, and shooting again. I advise you to shoot as much as you can, because that heals the soul quite a lot!

Of course, you got some great shots here, I think the GBH is a classic shot, very nicely composed. I also love the exposure you get on those white birds, that's hard stuff to do!

BTW, are you using the 300mm f/4 + TC-14E II on these shots? If so, what a hot combo, eh?

    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Take care!

Its always good to hear from ya. wave.gif

I finally nailed the exposure on those pesty egrets thanks to the Reznick Workshop. I shoot in aperture priority and make ev adjustments based on the subect matter. I usually go about - 0.7 on the egrets.

I don't have the $ for the nikon tele-extender yet (I have the Sigma extenders but I lose autofocus with them).

I used the 80-400 for the first two shots and the 300mm on the last three.

Welcome back to the land of the living
    Harry,
Man, you had us worried. I figured either you were real sick, or you had broken your typing finger :lol It's been tough on the rest of us having to take up the slack. Good to see you're recovered and out shooting great pics again. All of these were very nice and love the sweet light. I have to agree that after the workshop you've taken your shots to a new level clap.gif

Florida? Forget Florida and get your butt out here. Andy is here just about every other week. Just imagine how much fun, we 3 Stooges could have terrorizing Northern California rolleyes1.gif To say nothing of the contribution we could make to local restaurant's profit margins. Come on, let's do it. We can go shoot Yosemite, after stopping in Fresno to see our dear friend Nancy .... mwink.gif

Anyhow, very nice to see you back and I hope all that illness is behind you

Welcome back, was wondering where you were..

Great captures as always, the Heron on the tree is great.. I'd hang that one up in my house.. thumb.gifthumb.gif
Thanks for the welcome back. Going w/o photography for that period gave me insights into how junkies must feel when they are going "cold turkey".

    Steve,

I would love to get out to the west coast but that's not in the budget yet. :cry The idea of the three of us getting together is kind of awesome though.
