last one for now... i TOTALLY get a kick outta this pic, as it was taken DURING the race... he was runnin 3rd place in open production the lap before and nearly pitched it away in front of me losing 6 or 7 spots... next lap he came through looked like this:
Yeah I was down there in June last year with the local Seattle riders. I'll be there again this year too, bringing 20 folks with us this year.
RFR=favorite track to shoot at
RFR is a great track to shoot, for sure! i've been there 4 or 5 times. ridden it as well. AWESOME track to ride too. it's so EASY to shoot. you can get so close to the action without actually being in an impact zone. it's best if you've got a pit bike though... i cruise around on a little CRF230 when i'm there. heh..jsut gotta watch out for the dang "lava pits." haha!
Yeah he got some height and got flipped all the way over. Corner workers rushed over to him and he was already getting up and dusting himself off. Bike was a mess but outside of a bruised tailbone he was fine and wanted to ride.
not competing... it's jsut really cool actually sharing photos back and forth with another photog that takes moto photos. kinda a new experience for me! i'm lovin the shots you're postin, for sure! it just seems cooler when it's personal, rather than just seeing random pics in mags.
and i'm super sleepy now... so i'll just post this last one... the hardest shot i've ever taken... standing in the inside of T1, at the apex, at infineon... shot at 400mm.
g'night man! thanks for posting! hope to see more!
awesome shot of nicky. he makes it look so effortless.
Thanks Unfortunately it's a bit OOF... I got a series of four shots as he went past popping the front wheel up one handed. Wasn't quick enough with the camera though to get them in focus!
You have some fantastic shots there... I'm learning, but getting there slowly

nah, it's not OOF! he's just really really fast... most modern cameras aren't able to capture that kinda speed!

Sorry I'm so late. Just got to this thread today and thought I would reply since I mostly shoot dirt bikes and quads...
