Also, I didn't get enough pieces for the whole board (seemed like too much of a waste at the time), so I took multiple shots and blend them in CS3, just like I did with my lame attempt with the shot glasses last time...
And being the good Russian that you are -- I thought that was your entire Vodka glass collection -- carefully collected and lovingly looked after. :cavig :slurp

Truth be told, I seldom use them, and almost never for vodka
Russian drinking culture involves different type of glassware
And now that I live here in US, I prefer it more like this:
Brilliant idea. I admire brainstorms like that.
Food against electronics is good. It’s a touch absurd. I like it.
To dark, maybe have the light go from full spot in the middle to still touching the ‘faces’ of the spectators.
Needs a bit less ‘messy’.
Never saw the "Organic" and "Naked". I think its minor.
#1 of 3 is also clever, but the original must be having all the right ingredients, since I keep thinking about it.
If you decide on #1, I would set the light from full front to fading back.
The setup in #3 may be your solution for the original regards ‘messy’.
If all this confuses the hell out of you, join the club. OK, here is the explanation:
I started looking at your thread this morning. I red a couple of pages and had to leave. Tonight I went back to where I left off and spent a couple of hours reading the rest of the comments and making notes. That’s what the above is.
When I finally went back to the original picture, I realised that I saw a completely different image. So here is what I saw (imagined) originally:
The outer row (kings, queens, etc.) were lined up on the outside of the board. I thought they were the spectators. The light spots in the centre, shining out over the heads of the spectators.
Adjustments: use setup #3 as the centre of the arrangement. Line up the outer rows of the original on the edge of the board. Light up board. Keep spectators dimmed.
And if you are even more confused now, I don’t blame you.
Robert,
Thank you for your detailed feedback.
In fact, it didn't confuse me a single bit. I guess I have been thinking too much about it, making virtual changes, playing endless variants with position, arrangement, angles, light, etc.
Cheers!
You've a magic eye!
I like #3 because it simplifies the elements, the concept is easily grasped, and yet I can clearly see those who love strawberries and do not have a blackberry might find it confusing (for how can a blackberry run without a battery; although never tasting a chocolate tipped strawberry certainly leaves the blackberry sadly lacking).
Naturally, point counterppoint is extended to the cheeses v floopy base...
I, for one, like your ability both to conceptualize, capture, and encite. These threads will and are providing many insightful provocations for those of us with less imagination and ability.
How did that song go,
"Blackberries(rasberries), strawberries, the bitter wines we brew...?"

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback, I do appreciate it!
I'm still on the fence. None of my cheesy things makes me wish to print it 20x30.
I'm more inclined towards the "oldest trick" solution, yet I'm unsure of that too... Oh well, still almost a week to go

Nah.. it was my initial idea for the LPS#1. I dissed it, but many folks seemed to like it a lot. Some even purchased a few copies

From your second batch, I do like the #1 ...the cheese and disks only one.
My 2 cents.
