PS - Scotch version (the drink looks a bit pale, probably because of the strong side-lighting. Glenmorangie isn't very dark to start with, though - Lagavulin might be a better subject.) This image is also probably more suited to the 'Reflections' assignment than chrome!

Another good one, even though a bit o a dark side, but hey, fine by me mwink.gif

    Guys,
While I hope we continue to have fun with this assignment, I'd like to remind you that the subject is CHROME. mwink.gif
Steel and other shiny metal objects are fine provided you get some CHROME too. deal.gif

If may quote the assignment back to you...

It even had that little pointing-smiley-guy you like so much. You need to make up your mind, Rules Lawyer.

And since I'm on the subject, technically all that stuff around the outside of your browser (menu, address bar, back/forward buttons, etc) is called chrome. So maybe I'll just take a picture of that! rolleyes1.gif

(just giving you a hard time Nikolai, I'll see if I can find some real chrome... :D)

It's only the fine-print :D For those poor chrome-deficient souls to be able to play. If I order a steak with some veggies, I want to get steak with the veggies, not the steak salad rolleyes1.gif

For some reason that picture says a lot...

Nothing on you personally.. But it just seems to have it's place in a story line of some sorts. My initial impression was an immediate, WOW...

It seems to say something more than words.. I can't explain it...

Anyway..I took these a week ago, or so.. If you want to count them.. Of not, I can get some new stuff no problem.. :D .. But I'd have to wash the car first..

Oh, the alignment of the second pic was PURLEY coincidental! But My OCD side likes it a LOT! Laughing.gif...

Thanks, I'm glad you like the photo. I thought for quite a while about the title, I was a bit concerned that people might take offence.

    Nice wheels!

However, unless I'm gravely mistaken, you've fallen into the basic chrome trap I warned everybody about in the lead post: don't get your own reflection. deal.gif
In your case both shots carry a lot of you, hands in #1 and jeans in #2. The trick to avoid it is to position yourself in a way where the curvature would hide you in a couple of pixels.

^ I allways try not to get my own reflection.. I liked the effect that the blue jeans had in the reflection...

    Nikolai.
That is not me. Honestly !
I was wearing light brown trousers. :D

But as you do have mentioned, I am in the picture indeed.
I am the one on our right side, very thin !

I saw myself for the first time in this photo.

You were right after all... :cry

You're the skinny guy right at the chrome edge, with something like a monopod :-)

Yes. It's me and it is one leg of the tripod.
I use the tripod to rest my arms and to stand the camera while I shoot with the other.
I run the risk of not seeing the tripod and camera to "run away" :D, so I always have one eye on it.

It is not a very secure way to shoot. :cry
I don't recomend it, at all.

This picture was shot with the 70-200. Usually I take the camera and lens combo (can I use this word here ?) from the tripod, shoot and put it back.

I usually walk with the tripod on the shoulder, like in the army men do with a gun.
