Do you think that the price points that Nikon has announced will make
Canon react on the pricing for the 40D, 5D, and Mark III?

Canon has in the past priced new cameras fairly high, then quickly reduced actual selling prices in the marketplace.

Look at the 5D - its dropped by half (?) I seem to remeber Andy paying much more for his than the street price is today.

My money's on Harry!!! ...errrrrr, Nikon!

:D Well, considering the new developments in the last 24 hours, it looks like it's going to be a real good fight now. I figure Harry's off the fence and in waiting mode.

http://www.berger-bros.com is taking pre-orders for the D3/D300 and new Nikon lens!
My name is on the listwings.gifivar

    Nikon D300
    Nikon D3

I've purchased from them before with very good results. I managed to get my Nikon 18-200 lens from them very early (via a pre-order) while I watched many others complain they were still waiting 6-8 mos after I got mine.clap.gif
