You shot isn't technically that bad.
Your post production is a little bit light at this point though...
I took the liberty of running it through my workflow really quick. It can definately be made better. I'm just showing you the difference post can have on an image.
I'll be happy to pull this image if you don't want your work touched though.
Post a thread in digital darkroom asking about how to help your post production work.
Thanks wxwax, but as you can see I messed up with the coloring, etc. in the one picture that Jon so nicely fixed up for me. Hopefully he will let me in on how he did it.
I do have a problem with my editing. Seems like I either get the picture to dark--which is almost all the time or to light. I do have to learn to us my CS3 better.

Your shots look a wee bit underexposed.
If you can't trust your eye/monitor, then you can always use the histogram.
Here's an explainer which has good, simple visual examples (my favorite kind!) And here's another.
How did you do that. I tried doing something like that, but it didn't come out.

Ok, not as good as the ones posted, but I think ok for a beginner. What do you think--how do I make the water better?

Another photo. I couldn't get two in the last posting. How is this for a beginning water picture?
