These are the ones I think are the top contenders. But what do I know? Everytime I do this, only about 3 from my picks are actually selected...

Sorry to let down the pretty display above, don't they look gorgeous, but here is my typing and I loved heaps this round, well done all.

    First, my favorite top 10

    Old Point Tavern - Urbanaries
    Bloom Beam - PaulThomasMcKee
    Last Call - Nikolai
Paused for the season - Aaronzherenorthere
    We're expecting - Shatch
    Making Choices - Quark
Frozen by the Sun - Hurricanesteve
    Saquaro - renstar
By the light of the forest? (might have the name wrong) - DrDane

    Untouched - Fashnitzgrins
    After 5 - Tentacion
La Putaine avec Led Fleurs - were close, close, close for me

The rest I really enjoyed, even though I enjoyed them all, but special mention

    I love you - Felicia
    Vigil - Seastack
    J - MrsCue
    Bedtime Stories - eoren1
    Autumn End - Richters
Beginning of the season - Elaine
    The Flame - rgbivens
    Here's Johnny - Izzy Garavito
Light of our Light - Sunita

But I actually had a favourite the whole way through this one actually, even my husband (to-be) fell in love with it too. Totally nailed 'ambience' in my mind and that was old point tavern. Great technically and super ambient. Great capture.

    My favorites
These are my favorites, in no order. I might be able to pare down to 10 in 3-4 years or so. Pardon the crude collage skills ne_nau.gif

    Numbers Count
These are my picks IN ORDER because numbers do count when you are trying to qualify for the next round. I gave 12 instead of 10 so those who are "so close" would know (and besides it works out even in the collage). My selections were based on the theme which to me was all about light - either natural and diffused or artificial and focused. Then these selections were also based on image freshness, my emotional response and the lingering quality of the image or its story to tell. I'd like to think that I wasn't influenced by technique envy but I can't be completely sure of that because I still have so much to learn and there are some really great photographers here.
That said, if I were to put my favorites up here it would be almost a completely different list!

Thanks to all who listed 'Balloon Glow' in their top pics!

I'm new to this forum and I'm still figuring out how things work... Your recognition means a lot to me.

I don't know if I could narrow my selections to 10 but I must say 'Bedtime Story' is definately one of them!
