    seller: limbik

    buyer: davev (me)

    item: Kenko 1.5 TC

    Everything went without a hitch.
The TC was delivered on Monday, but my wife didn't have work again until Wednesday.
When I got it into my hands it looked like a new TC

I'd like to add the packaging was second to none.
I've had a little trouble with some other stuff that I've bought off the web. (not from anyone from here)

    Thanks James.

    Item: Canon 70-200 F/4 L

Item was as described; a mint f/4 L. It came in all of its original packaging, including the packing foam!! The price was as good as I have seen for a used f/4. Luckily, I lived close enough to pick up the lens, saving on shipping.

    Easy, hassle-free transaction.

    Thanks Lee!!!

    Seller: Jeff LaPoint
    Item: Canon 400, 5.6 L

Jeff was very good to work with on the sale of this lens. PM's were answered almost immediately, as wel as phone calls. Just as described, like new, and he even repackaged it as if it was brand new - box, case, plastic bag, styrofoam, and owners manual. I had been looking for one of these on the used market for a while. Thanks, Jeff, for making the tansaction and transfer extremely easy. Now I just need to learn to shoot with it.

    Seller: rummycoke

    Item: Canon EF 85 f/1.2L

Comments: This is my first major purchase off this board and I have to say it has been a delight. The price and terms were fair and communication with John both respectful and prompt. We quickly arranged payment and within a matter of days the lens was shipped. John promised in his ad that the lens is in excellent condition, but in truth it appears to be as close to new as a lens that is a couple of years old could possibly be. Needless to say, when I opened the box this afternoon I was both surprised and delighted. This is a man to do business with folks! You can't do better... thumb.gif

Terrence did a great job packing item, super fast shipping (got it before a trip) and item was as described. Good communication, and pictures sent as requested. Will buy from Terrence again.

My first purchase on dgrin (had a few on FM) - site is much faster, and got what I was looking for faster as well (that and a tokina).

    Seller username: OceanView
item: Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens

OceanView (James) is a new DGrin member. He previously had a handful of (positive) feedback at FredMiranda (FM), but none at DGrin yet. I verified that OceanView at FM and OceanView at DGrin are one and the same person, so could rely on the existing FM feedback as a starting point (a necessity from my perspective, since a fairly large-ticket item was involved).

    Positives thumb.gif
    • Responsive communication (PMs, then email; we also swapped phone#s but didn't end up needing them)
    • James had the lens packed and ready to ship immediately when my payment arrived -- the turnaround couldn't have been faster
    • The lens was in Like-New condition, with (as far as I can tell) every bit of original caps, hood, bag, strap, instruction book, warranty card, and even packing material still present
    • James acted in an extremely trustworthy manner ... the way we had to set up this deal, a shyster could have "taken the money and run"; not only did James follow through with the goods, but provided a top-quality item, packed it well, and shipped it nearly instantaneously
    • I would not hesitate to trade w/ James again, for an item of any amount
    Negatives:
    • We aren't supposed to post negatives on this forum -- so fortunately there weren't any!
In short -- welcome to DGrin, James! Nice to have yet another very trustworthy member on board for a little photographic horse-trading :D.

As a recent member to DGrin, I was not sure how active the Flea Market section would be. Well, I am satisfied to have found this website as I have completed my first transaction. On top of that, it was completed with a credible upstanding member of this forum named photobug (Dave). He was willing to give me a try even though I had no feedback here.
Photobug is and excellent buyer and I will definitely buy or sell with him.

    Thanks Dave!
