This is always suggested and I usually down play it! They look nice to other photographers, but riders for some reason or another, just don't buy these types of shots.
I found the same thing when I used to shoot MX for-profit. They don't buy the artsy stuff, they don't buy the slow-shutter pans. What photography people think is a good photo is one that doesn't sell, and the photo that sells gets panned by the photography people.
MX is a tough sell. Mom/Pop and anyone else with a P&S thinks it's easy. Riders don't really care too much about quality if the price is free!
Which is the reason I no longer shoot MX for-profit.

I've basically quit also. I haven't shot an event since early Oct. I think. 2 other photographers quit also in my area, and another is about to. I've even taken down all the local event stuff off my site and said if/when I shoot another event, photo's are available for 2 weeks, then gone. Too many steal them also. Little punks. Bwahaha!

Don't know what I'm going to do now. Debating to keep the smug pro or not next year. I really really enjoy shooting mx and will do so for myself forever though.

Gonna have to look at your site again Merc! I'll steal what you are doing and try it out over here! mwink.gif
