it is what I knew you would get after the lap top look about we did at night -if it was not for the birds running from that white lens of yours I might say canon was ok you do great work with that camera Russ now if you would have PS some more hair on my head that would have been a nice thing the trip was really a great one and I have an idea for a shot for next years trip I gave back the d300
Some flee, some stare and some are mesmerized by the white lens.
I prefer the latter, this gives me time to get the shot:D
Sorry that the D300 didn't work out for you, maybe the D3???
Thanks Jeff
I absolutely love the owl and the tree shots. I went to buy a print but I see you have only uploaded small sizes. Any chance of uploading some bigger files?
What an amazing collection of incredibly beautiful images. I just love these captures, and can only hope to someday take my photography to your level. Truly inspirational work.

I'm honored by your comments Graham.
I've seen some of your work and am equally impressed.
I hope to get to do some shooting with you sometime soon.
Very nice shots, Russ. The parting shot of the cranes is extra special.

Thanks John, not just for your compliments
but also for the comprehensive info on the Salton Sea area you provided.
Hopefully you'll be able to join the party next time.
