Picture of the day, everyday for the whole year. I know, i want to try it, but i'm affraid i'll forget my camera when i go somewhere and miss the day, or few, or more..
Save it in your blog/site with comment for that day, and then take a look on Dec. 31st. It could be very interesting thing to do, anyone?

Poor tree frog. :cry Great shot of the caterpillar.
BTW - it seems that the top of the images at the top of your homepage butt right up on the top of my browser bar, so they seem almost cut off. Maybe an ever so slight border - even a couple pixels wide.

The Daily Photo community is fun. Don't worry....pretty soon you'll be reaching for your camera like you do your car keys!!! You won't leave home without it! The hard part (for me) was that some of the members live in such interesting areas to shoot. I was always out in the worst light (midday sun) trying to find something within driving radius of my office on my lunch hour! It was tough! I spent a lot of time in the cemetary taking photos of birds. I have to admit I didn't always shoot a shot everyday.....but some days I shot tons of shots. All in all, it helped me become more familiar with my camera. I hope to start again when things calm down at the office and I can take a lunch hour again!
2 more weeks Ivar.....we're waiting...:lurk
Thanks for the suggestion. I put a few pixels up there. Better?

I think so

Plus this way I don't have to search everyday for something to shoot. They are right at my feet when I get home:D

I know, and if all goes to plan I'll be ready to play in about two weeks There are a few changes in my work life that are preventing me from starting now.

Canon 30D, some lenses and stuff... I think im tired or something, i have a hard time concentrating.. hey look, a birdie!:clap
Should be an interesting journey.
VERY interesting spin! I love the idea. At the NikonCafe forum I was saying that I think I'll need to give myself a monthly 'theme' after January. I might 'borrow' yours, if that's OK!

Ha! Go right ahead. Influence the photography realm with vocabulary. If nothing else, it will help with titling in the future.
my hat is off to you. what a great way to make this more challenging. i had planned on doing a photo-a-day for Feb (my first attempt). but now you have really gotten inspired to do something different.
good luck on your journey

Thank you! I can't really take credit for the idea, though. The LPS contest on here was the true concept generator.

Thank you, Marina!
Only two days until February! Can't wait to see what you unleash.
I'm trying to get better at a post every day - it would really help if the upload site for smugmug wasn't blocked from my office.
I don't worry about not having a camera. I usually have a pocket cam with me, but on the days I don't have one, I can always use my cell phone.
It's really helped me learn more about camera. I consider myself and expert with it now, simply because I play with it every day. The community on smugmug is really awesome. I get comments everyday to help me improve. Make sure you introduce yourself when you join.

I'm admittedly not quite daily anymore, but I'd say that after 4 full years, I've missed less than 5% - totally acceptable by scientific standards.
