Picture of the day, everyday for the whole year. I know, i want to try it, but i'm affraid i'll forget my camera when i go somewhere and miss the day, or few, or more..
Save it in your blog/site with comment for that day, and then take a look on Dec. 31st. It could be very interesting thing to do, anyone?

I'm doing it this year. It'll be extra challenging since it's a leap year...one whole extra day to photograph! :D

I'm lucky if I shower every day, let alone take a worth while photo every day. Something to try and I will make an effort to shower every day too! lol3.gif

I did a self portrait a day all last year (all chronicled on my site). It was exhausting, and frustrating at times, but well worth it in the end. I wrapped up at the end of December. It amazes me that I actually pulled it off. :D

Do it!!!! And if you hate it, or get bored, who cares? mwink.gif

BTW - it seems that the top of the images at the top of your homepage butt right up on the top of my browser bar, so they seem almost cut off. headscratch.gif Maybe an ever so slight border - even a couple pixels wide.

The Daily Photo community is fun. Don't worry....pretty soon you'll be reaching for your camera like you do your car keys!!! You won't leave home without it! The hard part (for me) was that some of the members live in such interesting areas to shoot. I was always out in the worst light (midday sun) trying to find something within driving radius of my office on my lunch hour! It was tough! I spent a lot of time in the cemetary taking photos of birds. rolleyes1.gif I have to admit I didn't always shoot a shot everyday.....but some days I shot tons of shots. All in all, it helped me become more familiar with my camera. I hope to start again when things calm down at the office and I can take a lunch hour again! rolleyes1.gif

I'm doing 2 photos a day. One of each of the twins. Although it usually takes 10-12 pics each before they are in the right place looking at me. I think it will be fun to see how much they change. There are 23 months right now and growing like weeds.

Plus this way I don't have to search everyday for something to shoot. They are right at my feet when I get home:D

wasnt there a guy who did a self portrait a day for like 3 years, then editied it all into a video so you can see him change... i saw it on tv and it was pretty cool.. lol you gotta keep the cam in the same spot and stand in almost the same position and spot each photo though or it'll look funny.

I'd been debating doing this for a while now, so I chose my birthday, yesterday, to kick-start it...but with my own little spin: Word of the Day

Should be an interesting journey. :D

VERY interesting spin! I love the idea. At the NikonCafe forum I was saying that I think I'll need to give myself a monthly 'theme' after January. I might 'borrow' yours, if that's OK! :D

my hat is off to you. what a great way to make this more challenging. i had planned on doing a photo-a-day for Feb (my first attempt). but now you have really gotten inspired to do something different.

    good luck on your journey

Thank you! I can't really take credit for the idea, though. The LPS contest on here was the true concept generator. deal.gif

I started photo of the day last year in a smugmug gallery. I haven't been very good about it though. rolleyes1.gif

I'm trying to get better at a post every day - it would really help if the upload site for smugmug wasn't blocked from my office.

I don't worry about not having a camera. I usually have a pocket cam with me, but on the days I don't have one, I can always use my cell phone. :D

Hey, good reminder, I just updated my signature here to reflect the new year!

I'm admittedly not quite daily anymore, but I'd say that after 4 full years, I've missed less than 5% - totally acceptable by scientific standards.
