I really like those Trish, and your Lensbaby shots, particuarly the birds and the last bridge one are fantastic!
I have a lensbaby on order, any tips?
Charlie
Thanks Charlie!
That bridge one was crazy gift. I shot it from inside a moving car (passenger seat). I like to think of that as extreme lensbaby shooting.
Lensbaby starter tips:
- start with the 5.6 aperature to get used to it. you have a better chance of getting something in sharp focus.
- take lots of pictures of the thing you're shooting. Try different focus points. you'll get better, but you'll find there are a bunch of throw-aways that you thought were good in the lcd.
- shoot with the highlight alert setting on your lcd. you don't have a light meter. what i do is blow the highlights, then back off a stop or two (depending on the scene)
- if it's a moving target you're after, try pre-focusing on where they're going to be when you take the picture. (does that make any sense? ;-)
