Really nice church shots everyone. Now it's time for a plug. Nothing, and I mean nothing is a better subject of sharpening than a stone or brick building. This doesn't mean that these shots are out of focus, quite the contrary. Sharpening works best with well focused pictures.
So here's the plug. Cletus and I have a Sharpening DD thread in progress here . Bring your churches over and you'll see.
I just noticed this in the wrong place, as much of my photos are. I was walking from my car, to church, there had been alot of rain on the island the night before. I saw this and ran back to my car to get my camera. I have other versions, but I included the cars here to give it a sense of the real scene. It is Stella Maris Catholic church. On Sullivan's Island, SC.
Nice photos, Rutt. I kind of don't think this one would sharpen up too well, but I will find something. ginger
Beautiful shots everyone! I hope I don't bring this thread down, but I'd like to add something I got today, the first day of sunshine and no rain in a few weeks...
I wonder if I posted mine yet. The recent ones are fantastic, from so many places.
Has anyone posted B & H yet?
I am Catholic, but I use stuff bought at B & H, usually called Canon. I even took a shot of Mary on top of my church, just last week, 5/3/05. I may work it up and post it. Or the kids..........they were cool. On church property, beautifully dressed, and up a tree.
Above the steeple is a statue of Mary. The church is Stella Maris, star of the sea. The steeple with the statue can be seen out to sea, it is an island church built in the 1800s. My church. ginger (Sunday, May 1, 2005)
Below the steeple, church had just gotten out: Remember that saying, Open the doors and here are all the people, uh, Huh. g
One could be called the bldg, I guess, and this is the church body, so to speak.

Good Job!
Art or religion? I studied this stuff in art history, wish I could remember it. Or go to Europe, yesterday.
