Had another go at editing this shot, it's in HDR so I know the colours are not natural :D

For a much larger version click on image ... enjoy .... Skippy :D

:ivar To me this is a great shot. And to start out with a size that will fit on my 15" laptop (the largest thing I have) really adds to my enjoyment. There are soooo many posted that I can't see all at once and thus don't get the full effect of the way the shot was composed. It seems that there should be a way for us to change how large we view any posted photo. I notice that when they are quoted they are shown smaller in the next post where the quote appears.

    Thanks again

:jawdrop Great job! This image lends naturally to HDR treatment, and I don't think that it is overdone at all. Definately a wall hanger. :)

The Scenery in Canada is just awesome the day we took those shots,
Anne, Nik, Christina and myself would probably all agree it was probably our best days shooting in the early morning.

I seem to vaguely remember this place. headscratch.gif
Definitely one of my favorite locations ever. I've got a fotoflot printed of it and it looks amazing. Now I just need to put it on my wall.

Was this a pano or single frame? Good stuff Skippy!

Hi Jane, we've been through this numerous times. I'm sorry that we don't have forum software that does what you want, and I'm sorry I can't tell posters what size to make their photos. I can tell you that 1024x768 resolution and greater makes up the majority of viewing monitors here and so XL sizes are appreciated by most :D

15 inch monitor means nothing, Jane. It's the resolution of that monitor that matters. The posted photo was

    http://ozzieskip.smugmug.com/photos/309907235_ezKso-L.jpg

But if it had been http://ozzieskip.smugmug.com/photos/309907235_ezKso-X3.jpg all you simply have to do is right click it, view in a separate window, and change the -X3 to -L, -M, -S, in the url of the photo... heck even smaller if you like. Or even more cool (and easier!) is use a modern browser like Firefox that will zoom the images for you.

Hey Skippy I just had to post again because every time I look at this image I see something new! lol3.gif

This time it was the mist rising from the lake. Holy cow does it really add a magical effect there, and does a really great job of breaking up the real mountain from the reflection. Whew! thumb.gif
