I just pre-ordered the Invisible Shield for my as yet un-purchased iPhone 3G.
They gave me 2 discount codes, each good for 20% off.
Anyone want them?
They make shields for most cameras, as well. Tough stuff. :deal

I have some iPhone friends that would love to get this as a gift..
I just posted above that yes, when I placed my order I got two more codes and am offering them here.
Even though the preorder for the iPhone shield is already on a discount, you can get another 20% off at checkout.

I'll do one on the D200 and the Voyager. No iPhone though. Those iPhone purchases I made were for gifts.

I currently only use two companies – Zagg and ExpertShield.
I find that Zagg is thicker than the expert shield and is a bit pricier.
I was quite surprised when I first received the Zagg ones; packaging over-kill. It includes a shield, a liquid spray for you to put on the flat surface (to slide the protector around), and a squeegee.
And this is how it looks on my IR body:
However, it feels a bit “thick” on my treo.
I also have the one from expert shield, and it came with just the shield and a small cleaning cloth in a flat paper packaging in a small envelope from Hong Kong. Even thought it was sent from over-seas, it arrived in a few days! I also think you can find this in ebay.
You line it up, and press it on. If you’re crocked, you peel it off again, and try it again.
And on my 40D.
Which one do I like? I think it’s personal preference.
The Zagg one is thicker and I believe that might protect it more. It also might have a tad bit more glare and I do feel it on my treo (touch screens works just fine).
When I recently got my replacement 40D, I went with ExpertShield (they have a smaller selection) because it was a few dollars cheaper. I’m happy with both.
I also have two 20% off coupons for InvisibleShield. PM me if you want it.
there amazing. they make it nicer to hold because it wont slip out of your hands. there are scratch resistant. if you scratch it you can physically just wipe it off. however they can be dented. if something is pushed against the screen for long enough at great pressure then there will be an indent left that will be there for a long time if not forever. all in all there deffinalty worth the money. anything that you get o the screen you can just wipe off.

They don't help with glare, but make it worse. You can see in April's post above the very slight orange-peel texture they have. Viewed head on in good light you can't tell it's on.
They are very strong and protective, though, and I appreciate that. I'm not really sure if putting it on the 40D makes any sense, since the display is pretty well protected normally, anyway (unlike my GPS which gets a lot of abuse).
They have an excellent guarantee, which I've never used.

But I like the idea of taking the LCD cover off my camera and know it's not gonna get scratched to crap. The more I get used to my gear, the less I treat it w/ kid gloves.
Does the 40D come w/ an LCD cover as well?
No. Unless you mean the plastic that's permanently attached to the camera!
