Just out of curiosity, I posted a photo and I guess it got rejected? Or did I post it incorrectly?

You did fine. It's still there. It shifted as the gallery was cleaned up, so it may not be where you expected it to be. It is #30 in the gallery.

Your photo displays in the entry gallery, it looks like there were a total of 56 entries. For each DSS challenge there are two judges chosen ahead of time. These two judges each select independently of each other their top 10 images. These images (between 10-20 depending on if any of the same photos are selected by both judges) are then posted for the DGrin community to vote on here in this thread.

I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get chosen for voting on my first shot, but maybe another time. ne_nau.gif :cry

Thanks for including my photo in the voting round.

I must thank Sean for his thoughtful challenges. I tried to think about the Cliche activity...telling a story with the image when I shot this one. And I worked hard to incorporate the golden spiral. I was hoping that your eye would travel from the striped towel on the rocking chair to the cluster of beach cottages on the bluff to the storm clouds. I added the vignetting to bring your eye full circle back to the striped towel.

Did that work for any of you? If it did, then it confirms my sense that I am beginning to grow a bit in my photography.

thanks to all of you who pay attention in these threads and help us less-experienced folks grow!

Congrats to all for stepping up on this one!

Thank you judges for including my photo in the voting round. I have done some of the challenges on my own but haven't felt strong enough to enter until this one. It's okay if I don't win over all, it's great to get this far. Congrats to everyone! Hard to pick only one favorite......hmmmmmm

Funny that there were so many beach shots. I just happened to be on vacation at the beach, so I didn't have much choice. I did take some shots of sea shells that were striped and almost entered one of those.

Chris - I see that you are from NC. That's where we vacation every year and I envy you! I love it there.
