Thanks senorjax! He wanted me to shoot him with the sunglasses, but I made him take 'em off.

None of these are true macros - all taken with my kit 18-55 f3.5-5 lens with my Nikon D5000. No (or very little) cropping in these photos.

Sorry Kinkajou! Thought I'd repost and try and keep the forum tidy. Bloody newbies huh?!

These were taken in and around Galle, Sri Lanka where my wife and I are on our around the world tour. All were shot using Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. Any feedback/criticism is always appreciated. Enjoy!

    I haven't posted in a while but I love close-ups...
    1. Nandina drops (leaves were about 1/2 ")Shot with Canon 100mm macro lens
    1158731379_iL598-L-3.jpg
    2. Frosty Ivy - I read about this online-used the 100mm macro lens and held my 50mm reversed in front of that. I was excited to see the frost look like this.
    1158732593_7wcyb-L-3.jpg
    3. Dreamy White - 100mm macro lens I love refractions so I have been working on them, still not even close to Lord V over in Holy Macro
